Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus versus 7 launch

iphone_5_ipad_mini_anastasiadis_01After many months of waiting and watching the rumors, Apple has finally launched two new iPhones, the 6 and 6s Plus, iPad Pro and Apple TV in the world.

Apple revealed the new models in its typically slogan-based fashion: “The only thing that has changed with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is everything,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. Let’s see exactly how the new devices surprise us now:

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Plus. One of the big features here is the display tech. It seems like the new “3D Touch” technology now lets the user apply different levels of pressure to their touch screen to provide different options, for example, accessing a sub-menu or “peeking” at a photo or web page. The new models come with an upgraded camera that records 4K video and snaps 12-megapixel photos. Besides, the camera has a new feature called “live photos”. There’s also the new A9 processor which makes the device twice as fast.

Apple TV. The big surprise came altogether with Apple TV which hopes to be the future of television. The device has a new operating system – tvOS and it is integrated with Siri, the voice-controlled personal assistant of the iPhone. Apple TV also has an impressive touch sensitive remote used to select programs and a motion sensor for use in gaming. Apple TV is already expecting the developers to create apps for it since its main focus is on gaming.

iPad Pro. Apple has also launched a 12.9-inch version of the tablet, compared to the 9.7 inches of the iPad Air. iPad Pro comes with an “Apple Pencil”, a more powerful processor and a “Smart Keyboard”, which has a connector role for transferring power and data.

Meanwhile, the big fans already think about the next release: iPhone 7. The real changes are going to come with iPhone 7, which will be launched in late September 2016. We’ve been hearing rumors about iPhone 7 for a few months ahead of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Plus releases. From the latest information, iPhone 7 is going to be a real stunner since it’s going to be exceptionally thin; besides iPhone 7c could join iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. iPhone 7c might come with a much smaller screen of just 4in, but it looks as though the fans will have to wait until 2016 for a new smaller iPhone.

This year we’ve seen an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 6s Plus. The question is: did Apple really surprise anyone with its new devices or did the company just manage to align with the market trends? Let’s hear your opinion. Are you a fan of Apple’s technology or not?

We are expecting that 2016 will give us the chance to see a whole new redesign and a new generation of devices and features. Stick close to our blog for more news.
