Wildlife Conservation & Monitoring System
How Protected Areas Management improved wildlife conservation with AI-powered monitoring
We developed a comprehensive wildlife conservation and monitoring system for Protected Areas Management, enhancing biodiversity protection through advanced IoT sensors, satellite imagery analysis, and AI-powered wildlife tracking capabilities. The project focused on creating an integrated platform that monitors ecosystem health, tracks wildlife populations, and detects conservation threats in real-time.
Key results:
- Improved wildlife tracking accuracy by 90% through AI-powered image recognition and IoT sensor networks
- Enhanced threat detection by 80% with real-time monitoring and automated alert systems for poaching and habitat destruction
- Increased conservation efficiency by 70% through optimized resource allocation and data-driven decision making
The first challenge was selecting the most suitable data model and technology to ensure smooth processing of large volumes of visual data, including live video streams.
Then, it was correlating the data gathered from observations with the activities of forest rangers. Based on the animals’ locations, the system needed to determine whether sufficient food and shelter were available. Finally, the last stage of the project involved developing a mobile app that incorporated all of these functionalities.
