We developed a smart transportation optimization platform for Motus, enhancing urban mobility through intelligent route planning, traffic flow optimization, and real-time transportation analytics. When the Motus application was launched about six years ago, PHP was the leading programming language in the industry.
Over time, trends shifted toward newer technologies, which needed to be adopted to maintain optimal performance. To address these changes, Motus decided to transition to Java and implement the Spring Framework. However, the migration was never fully completed, leaving the application running simultaneously on two platforms with two separate databases. While this setup initially met the project’s objectives, it became increasingly difficult to maintain long-term. The application now needs to be unified, but this must be done without disrupting its functionality, as it is relied upon by many customers.
