Biotech and medtech software engineering
Biotech and medtech AI and robotics software engineering partner
Areusdev helps Heads of R&D, CSOs, CDOs, and VP Engineering turn lab innovation into software that can leave the prototype stage. We build and integrate AI, robotics and control software, device connections, and data pipelines with documentation awareness for regulated research and medtech paths.
Who this is for
For
- Biotech, medtech, and research organizations that need production-grade software around AI, robotics, or lab systems
- Heads of R&D, CSO, CDO, and VP Engineering roles accountable for moving beyond proofs of concept
- Teams that must connect instruments, LIMS or other lab systems, devices, and analytics without losing auditability
Not for
- Consumer wellness or lifestyle apps with no clinical, operational, or research delivery path
- Buyers looking only for a black-box AI product with no engineering ownership
- Pure staffing requests with no architecture, validation, or long-term delivery accountability
Problems we help solve
Prototype-to-product gap
Research software that works on a bench but is not maintainable, testable, or operable in a controlled environment.
Fragmented devices and data
Instruments, wearables, robotics stacks, and LIMS that do not share clean interfaces or provenance.
Validation burden
Releases that stall because change control, evidence, and documentation were treated as an afterthought.
Rare skill mix
AI/ML, control and robotics software, integrations, and regulated delivery habits that are hard to hire as one team.
Unclear partner ownership
Vendors who train shared models on your research data or leave you with undocumented pipelines.
Capabilities
We work as an engineering partner, not as a clinical decision maker and not as a finished medical device manufacturer unless that is explicitly your product path and scope.
1. AI and ML for research and medtech workflows
Model integration, fine-tuning where justified, pipelines, monitoring, and limitation documentation. Client research data is not used to train shared Areusdev models unless written agreement names that purpose.
2. Robotics and control software
Software around sensing, control loops, device coordination, and operator-facing tools for lab automation and medical robotics research programs.
3. Device and systems integration
APIs and adapters that connect instruments, edge devices, robotics stacks, and research platforms so data and commands are traceable.
4. Data pipelines and scientific reproducibility
Versioned models, prompts, pipelines, and infrastructure so runs can be reproduced and changes audited between releases.
5. Regulatory-aware engineering practice
We design with FDA, GxP, and ISO 13485-style expectations in mind when your pathway requires them: controlled environments, documentation habits, and validation support. Areusdev does not claim product clearances or certifications on your behalf. Clearances and published evidence belong to the product owner. Confirm BAA, PHI, and pathway needs before any regulated data is shared.
6. Long-term R&D collaboration
Multi-year partnership models for teams that need continuity from feasibility through pilots and production hardening, not a one-off spike.

How we work with labs and medtech builders
1. DiscoveryGoals, constraints, data sensitivity, existing instruments and stacks, and what done means for the next stage.
2. ArchitectureBoundaries for AI services, private cloud or on-prem options, integration maps, and documentation expectations.
3. BuildIterative delivery with versioned artifacts, tests, and operator or researcher workflows that match how your team works.
4. Validation supportTechnical evidence packages, reproducibility, and change discipline aligned to your compliance stakeholders. We support the pathway; we do not replace your regulatory owner.
5. Operate or handoffRunbooks for your team, optional managed continuity, or continued R&D partnership for the next research cycle.
Engagements can be build-only or multi-year R&D retainers. Security questionnaires and architecture reviews under NDA are normal before sensitive work starts. See also questions to ask an AI or software partner.
Biotech AI and robotics FAQ
Short answers for research, medtech, and engineering teams evaluating a software partner for sensitive data, devices, AI, and regulated delivery.
Who owns the IP and research data?
You own your research IP and project data as defined in the contract. Areusdev does not use proprietary research data to train, fine-tune, or benchmark shared models without explicit written consent for a named purpose.
Do you support on-prem or private cloud for sensitive datasets?
Yes. Many biotech and medtech engagements use VPC-isolated or private cloud patterns. Air-gapped designs are scoped when your policy requires them.
Can you work with FDA, GxP, or ISO 13485 expectations?
We engineer with regulatory-aware controls, documentation, and validation support when your pathway needs them. Product clearances, QMS ownership, and regulatory submissions remain with you or your designated regulatory partner. We do not invent certifications we have not earned for a named scope.
Do you build finished medical devices or only software?
We are a software and systems engineering partner. Hardware, implantable components, and device manufacturing sit with specialized partners when needed. We focus on the software, control, AI, integration, and evidence layers that make research systems usable and auditable.
How does Areusdev differ from a pure AI vendor or a body shop?
We build and integrate systems under your architecture and contracts. We do not sell a black-box model as the product, and we do not treat regulated delivery as optional staff augmentation. Data use, subprocessors, and change control are part of the engagement design.
What does a typical first engagement look like?
A scoped discovery and architecture phase, then a build increment with clear acceptance criteria. For research programs we often start with a feasibility or pilot slice that proves interfaces, data flow, and operability before wider investment.
Where is the team based?
Nearshore delivery from Romania, with US and Bulgaria presence. Processing locations for sensitive data are mapped per project and approved when your policy requires it.
